For this reason, the issue is that it is relatively difficult to inherit the technology. In addition, it takes a relatively long time to change the settings, so it is also disadvantageous to make time-consuming costs when making various products.
CNC automatic lathe
"CNC automatic lathe" is a type of "NC automatic lathe" that performs numerical control. CNC means “computer numerical control”, and it is a mechanism to control the movement of the spindle and the blade with a computer.
The fact that it is a computer-controlled mechanism brings various benefits. First of all, since it can be numerically controlled, it is relatively easy to transfer technology. Another advantage is that dimensional adjustment can be controlled by a computer, making it easy for non-skilled staff to work. Other settings are easy to change, minimizing time loss when manufacturing multiple products.
On the other hand, it is not without its disadvantages. Since the introduction cost is higher than the cam type automatic lathe, it is necessary to clear the problem of capital investment. Another disadvantage is that it takes a relatively long time to manufacture simple parts that can be completed in a short time with a cam-type automatic lathe.
